What Is Turbo Upgrades & Rebuilds?

Turbo work covers three things: rebuilding factory turbos that are past their service life (wastegate rattle, smoke, oil consumption), upgrading to larger drop-in units, or converting twin-turbo cars to a properly sized single. Each job includes the supporting pieces that make boost reliable — oil and coolant lines, charge piping, intercooling — and the tune to run it. We size the turbo to the power target you actually want instead of the biggest number that fits.

Why Is Turbo Upgrades & Rebuilds Important?

A turbo that's on its way out doesn't fail politely. Shaft play turns into smoke, and in the worst case the engine eats the debris. On the upgrade side, sizing is everything: too big means lag you'll hate on the street, too small means the top-end falls flat. Getting the combination right the first time costs a fraction of doing it twice.

When Should You Consider Turbo Upgrades & Rebuilds?

Rebuild or replace when you hear wastegate rattle, see smoke on startup or decel, or notice boost fading. Upgrade when you've maxed out the stock turbos' efficiency and still want more — typically after intercooler, downpipes, and fueling are already handled. Talk to us before buying parts; the kit that worked for a build you saw online may be wrong for yours.
