Scheduled maintenance is the factory-specified service your car needs at set intervals: oil services with the correct-spec oil, microfilters and air filters, spark plugs, brake fluid flushes, coolant, transmission and differential fluids, and the inspection points that catch wear before it becomes failure. We follow the factory schedule, reset the service indicators properly, and keep records that hold up when you sell the car.
European engines are specific about what they need — the wrong oil spec on a modern BMW isn't a small mistake, and 'lifetime' transmission fluid means the lifetime of the fluid, not the car. Skipped maintenance is where the expensive failures start. Cooked turbos from overdue oil. Water pumps that die on the highway instead of on the lift. A documented history also directly adds to what the car is worth.
When the service indicator says so, before a road trip or track day, and immediately after buying any used European car with unclear history — a full fluid baseline is the best money you'll spend on a new-to-you car.
